The American Heart Association and proud Houston Start! sponsor Memorial Hermann will host the 2008 Start! Houston Heart Walk on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Sam Houston Park - downtown. The 5-mile non-competitive walk kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with the park opening to the public at 8:00 a.m.. The event promotes walking as a part of a healthy lifestyle while raising funds to support cardiovascular research and education programs.

			<description>My father was a Glider Guider in World War II...and also somewhat of a raconteur, a most enthusiastic story teller. While this trait of his basically drove my mother crazy and delayed our departure from any event or gathering where there was the possibility of a willing audience (two ears would do), he did in fact have some pretty good stories to tell.
